Operating Status

The university is operating on a regular schedule.

Any unforeseen school closings and/or delays will be posted on this web page and will be updated as and when new information becomes available.

Pool Closed

The pool at UDC’s athletic complex is closed until further notice for all uses, including community programs, rentals, partnerships and recreational activities. We recognize that this closure may impact planned activities and schedules, and we sincerely regret the inconvenience this may cause. We appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support during this time. Updates regarding the status of the pool will be shared as appropriate and when additional information becomes available.

Inclement Weather Policy

In the event of inclement weather that forces the university to alter its hours of operation, we will communicate that information to you in these ways:

1. We will send out an alert via LiveSafe App.
2. We will post updates on Facebook, X and the front page of udc.edu immediately.
3. We email the university via their UDC email address.
4. We will update the greeting on the main telephone number — 202-274-5000.
5. We will alert the local media.

UDC will announce all morning delays and closings on the UDC website by 6:30 am. If no announcement has been made by 6:30 am, all UDC campuses will open on time and on its regular schedule.

In a weather-related closing, essential personnel are to contact their supervisors.
