Students: Due to inclement weather, the university will be closed to face-to-face operations. Instruction will be moved to emergency remote, including synchronous and asynchronous methods. Certain laboratory, clinical, and other hands-on classes for which in-person instruction is a requirement may necessitate a make-up lesson, but every effort will be made to pursue virtual learning to the extent possible. Where synchronous virtual instruction is intended, published class meeting times must be observed so that students’ schedules are not disrupted.

The safety and security of our students, faculty, staff, and the broader community remain our top priority. We will continue to provide updates regarding the status of the university’s academic and administrative offices as conditions change.

Please continue to check our website and social media channels for the latest information.

If you have any safety concerns, contact OPSEM at 202-274-5050. For all immediate emergencies, call 911.

Thank you for your continued dedication to our students and to UDC’s mission.

Community College Placement Testing

ACCUPLACER

About Our Placement Testing

Welcome to the University of the District of Columbia! Whether you’re a new student embarking on your educational journey or a readmitted student returning to continue your studies, we’re thrilled to have you join our dynamic learning community. As part of our commitment to your academic success, we want to ensure that you start your college experience on the right foot. To help assess your current skill levels in subjects like math and English, we require all new and readmitted students to take the ACCUPLACER placement test.

The ACCUPLACER test is a valuable tool that helps us place you in the most appropriate courses, ensuring that you receive the education and support you need to excel in your studies. To prepare for this assessment, we encourage you to access our ACCUPLACER Practice Tests. These practice tests are designed to familiarize you with the format and types of questions you can expect on the actual exam. They’re a great resource to help you brush up on your skills and boost your confidence. For more information on the Accuplacer and access to practice tests, please visit our ACCUPLACER information page. We’re here to support your academic journey, and we look forward to helping you reach your full potential at UDC-CC.

Final course placement will be made during the academic advising session.
