Students: Due to inclement weather, the university will be closed to face-to-face operations. Instruction will be moved to emergency remote, including synchronous and asynchronous methods. Certain laboratory, clinical, and other hands-on classes for which in-person instruction is a requirement may necessitate a make-up lesson, but every effort will be made to pursue virtual learning to the extent possible. Where synchronous virtual instruction is intended, published class meeting times must be observed so that students’ schedules are not disrupted.

Program Overview
The program emphasizes hands-on learning and excellence in design.
The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering program emphasizes the areas of communications, signal processing, and control and power systems. We apply this to sustainable and renewable energy technologies, preparing students for the growing demand in green energy fields and AI applications.
The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET (www.abet.org).

The Program Educational Objectives of the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering are that within three to five years of graduation:
PEO# 1 Engage in activities that sustain and promote their professional growth and mobility by acquiring advanced, specialized skills or completing graduate courses or graduate degree programs.
PEO# 2 Made meaningful contribution to the advancement of computer engineering profession by applying their technical knowledge and experience with engineering design tools to successfully complete hardware and/or software-related engineering projects that meet customer business objectives.
PEO# 3 Behave ethically and responsibly and understand the impact of engineering solutions on societal, economic, global, and environmental issues.
Students graduating from the BS in Electrical Engineering are expected to acquire the following:
An ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics.
An ability to apply the engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration for public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.
An ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
An ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts.
